Our awesome collaborator, AMY COMMANDER is sharing with us her recipe for rose almond butter bars. These are the perfect treat to bring to your holiday parties. The rose really makes these something special!
1 cup almond butter (or other nut/seed butters)
1/4 cup coconut flour
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla (optional)
1-2 tsp to taste Anima Mundi herbals rose
1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
1 cup chocolate (I used Hu Kitchen salty dark chocolate gems or Evolved chocolate chips)
Top with edible rose petals (optional)
Combine almond butter, coconut flour, maple syrup, vanilla, rose herb, and cinnamon in large mixing bowl and mix well.
Separately, melt your chocolate. I use a little saucepan on the stove.
Line a small baking tin with parchment paper and add almond butter/flour mixture and pat down with hands or spatula until the layer is even. Then, pour melted chocolate over top, making sure to cover the top entirely. Sprinkle edible rose petals on top, if using.
Refrigerate for 3 hours and then cut into bars.
