Happy holiday season everyone. We can't believe it's already that time of year! It's been an amazing past few months for us at EAT.PRAY.MOVE and we're ever-expanding and planning some exciting new things on the horizon.
We thought we'd take this opportunity to give you a bit of an update about our Give Back Initiative and some of the things we've been up to this past season. As you know, our first non-profit partner was the amazing organization PROJECT SOAR, founded by the hosts at our Marrakesh retreats, Chris and Maryam of Peacock Pavilions. Erin, founder of EPM, was recently named as a board member as well and so this is a group that is close to our hearts.
We held two retreats in Marrakesh in September and with those retreats, combined with the ones in spring, we (along with our guests) were able to donate over a couple of thousand dollars to PROJECT SOAR! In September, both Erin and Jen (our collaborator for the Mindful Movement retreats) both led the girls of PS in some mindful yoga classes and one of the retreat groups also were able to participate in a "Project Pride" beautification program during a free day where we helped to paint many doors of business and homes in the neighboring village! We're so thankful to our guests for their willingness to help and by just being a retreat-goer on one of our "Give Back" retreats, guests already are helping to contribute to our profit donations.
