While most of us are stuck at home and being bombarded with depressing realities, we thought we’d share some uplifting news!
As many of you know, our Give Back partner in Marrakesh, Morocco is Project Soar, a non-profit that works to empower adolescent girls, providing programs that help girls understand their value, voice, body, rights and path. This spring, they were the recipient of the With And For Girls Award in the Education and Leadership category!
We are incredibly honored to be bestowed with this award alongside other organizations from around the globe who are working on girls and women’s empowerment, equality, freedom, and justice.
One such organization is Girls Voices Initiative, a Nigeria-based nonprofit focusing on educating adolescent girls and women about their rights in law and empowering girls with the skills to use technology and digital media to lead advocacy for the protection of their rights and welfare in society.

In 2019, we served 1,611 teen girls
In 2019, we distributed 1,052 Be Girl menstruation kits
In partnership with the Ministry of Youth & Sports, we launched programs in 34 youth centers across the country
We launched Project Soar Uganda in five sites with our partners at Open Space Centre
Thanks to you, we raised $416,199 in 2019 to support our work!
