Join us for our continuing online “Virtual Vinyasa” lessons. For JUNE 2020 we will be leading a 4-week Yin & Yang series with one powered up class and one relaxing class each week. “Retreat” from the comfort of your home.

WHO
This series is open to any participant! All levels, all ages are welcome. Even if you’re completely new to yoga, you are welcome and able to join us.
The instructor for this series will be EAT.PRAY.MOVE founder Erin Lewis. Erin has practiced yoga since 1998 and began teaching over 11 years ago. She’s trained in various disciplines from Ashtanga, the Rocket series, core power yoga, as well as the Strala method, and also incorporates practices from the yin, restorative, and yoga nidra styles as well. Teaching in studios in Florida, New York City, and Florence, Italy, Erin has also taught thousands of guests around the world for close to 10 years on yoga retreats. She continues to evolve in her personal practice which naturally makes its way through her teaching. She loves sharing not only the asana (movement) limb of yoga with others, but also the many other facets which lead to life-changing shifts in our daily habits.
WHAT
For this 4-week series, we will be using the concept of yin & yang as a theme and a beneficial combination of two types of practice. Each week one class will be a powered up movement class to bring the yang spirit to our practice, then the second class of the week will be focused on the opposite yin spirit with more of a relaxing sequence including yin yoga poses.
YANG YOGA - This includes more dynamic movement based poses (thing vinyasa flow) with a breath-movement connection in a practice which warms the body, strengthens and tones, improves balance and flexibility, and allows improvement of the synchronization of movements at a steady pace.
YIN YOGA - This type of class is the perfect balance to the yang movements as it helps to relax and revive the body. It brings balance to the meridians (energy lines), improves joint health and flexibility, calms the body and mind, works deeply with the connective tissues, and reduces stress. *a yoga nidra session will be added to one of these lessons as well.
WHEN
The live classes will take place 2x per week for 4 weeks.

ON-DEMAND - All guests for this series will receive links to the recorded sessions so you can continue your practice whenever is most convenient!
WHERE
We will be hosting the class and streaming live from a beautiful yoga space in the Italian countryside. For those of you who have been to our Tuscany retreats, you may recognize this room! It’s a warm, inviting, and welcoming space for you to virtually participate and transport yourself out of the monotony of daily life.
Of course, you will get to practice at the location of your choosing—from a mat in your living room, a sunny spot on a terrace or garden, or perhaps in a cozy “personal ritual” space that you’ve set aside for your daily meditations. We encourage you to make it a spot you love to be, a place that makes you feel comfortable and supported! We will meet you there.
WHY
During this unprecedented time that we are going through on a global scale, we thought what better way to support you and to create a community connection, than to be able to “meet” online. While we are unable to travel and retreat together, this is our way of being able to stay connected with you our guests, and we can’t wait to welcome you!
HOW
We will stream via Zoom, which we will send instructions on how to connect after sign up! Don’t worry - it’s easy! We will also be sending all participants a welcome email after sign up explaining each class, as well as a preparation information relating to the concept of Yin & Yang and some supplementary meditations that you may enjoy incorporating throughout your month. We hope to support you in creating a beautiful space and atmosphere for your personal ritual time!
It’s simple - you’ll just log-in, settle in to your mat, we’ll move & breathe together, and then you can join us in the closing collective breath and send-off or decide to linger in savasana and savor these quiet moments to yourself!
